The recent passage of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act ("ACA") has made it more important than ever to determine whether an employer is part of a "controlled group" of corporations or a group of trades or businesses under common control ("Controlled Group"). Significant ACA employer penalties may be imposed for employers failing to determine whether they are part of a Controlled Group.

Our speaker will be Brian Katusian, Associate with Seltzer Caplan McMahon Vitek, A Law Corporation.  Brian’s practice emphasizes tax law, tax exempt organizations, business law, and ERISA/Employee Benefits. He is certified by the State Bar of California as a Specialist in Taxation Law.

This lunch meeting will be held at the DoubleTree Hotel, 7450 Hazard Center Drive, San Diego, California 92108. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. for registration and networking, and the presentation will run from noon to approximately 1:00 p.m.
