Ric Epps is a political consultant and commentator for Fox 5 News, and professor of political science and public administration at San Diego State University. He earned his undergraduate degrees from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Professor Epps is an authority in international relations-US foreign policy, Middle East affairs, and international security, with specializations in intelligence, nuclear proliferation and terrorism. He has taught at multiple universities including UCLA, UCSD, SDSU, and the University of Oxford-OSAP. During his more than twenty years of teaching, Professor Epps has garnered numerous honors and awards including the California State Assembly Service Award, Who's Who Among American Teachers, Who's Who Among Americans, Outstanding Professor of the Year and numerous other professional awards.
Following his Honorable Discharge from the United States Air Force, Professor Epps worked for several military contractors. Working in engineering, operations research, and business finance, Epps gained extensive knowledge of the military industrial complex. Following his decision to pursue his doctoral studies at UCLA, Epps was hired by the university to serve as a program director. He continued to serve in that capacity while pursuing his PhD. Accepting a position at SDSU, Professor Epps relocated to his hometown where he continues to reside. He is a technology consultant and political expert for Wadsworth-Cengage academic publishers, a political commentator/analyst for Fox News and an expert contributor on the Craig Sewing Show on KCBQ Radio as well as various shows through the RERN national network. Epps is also a regular contributor to other news and radio networks including NBC, KUSI-9, SanDiego6 News, One America Network, KFMB radio, KOGO radio and KCBQ radio.
